Prehnite is a gemstone that differs in appearance from olivine. It resembles the flesh of white grapes, with translucent and delicate crystals most commonly appearing in pale green and yellow-green colors. Sometimes, prehnite may contain hair-like minerals, which is a normal occurrence. Prehnite is often found in association with minerals such as calcite and epidote. It is a type of igneous rock and, after being cut and polished, exhibits a light green color and luster. The presence of black iron minerals or other elements within the crystal forms the hair-like mineral characteristic of prehnite.
