Brown Agate

Origin: Brazil


Agate is a type of chalcedony mineral that often occurs in banded formations with agate, chalcedony, and cryptocrystalline quartz. It exhibits a layered and multi-colored appearance. Agate has a long history. Approximately one hundred million years ago, due to crustal movements, large amounts of underground magma were erupted. When the lava cooled, steam and other gases formed bubbles. These bubbles were trapped in the rocks as they solidified, creating many cavities. Much later, these cavities were filled with silica-rich solutions, which eventually solidified into agate as the silicon dioxide crystallized, often incorporating iron-rich minerals.


Brown Agate has natural brown stripes and symbolizes friendly love and hope. It is believed to help eliminate stress, fatigue, and negative energies. Additionally, it can be used as a talisman or amulet for protection against evil spirits.
